TURA, Nov 20: The Chief Executive Officer of the Tura Municipal Board, J.R.T. Sangma, MCS, has issued a public advisory informing all residents within Tura Municipality areas of the urgent need for the Mandatory Registration of Pet Dogs and promotion of Responsible Pet Ownership.
According to the advisory, a special public awareness campaign will commence from December 8, 2025, across the Tura Municipal jurisdiction, in collaboration with the Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Department. The initiative aims to ensure proper regulation of pet ownership, enhance public safety, and support better monitoring of pets within municipal limits, it said.
