Ridashisha Rymbai has been awarded PhD in Biochemistry by the North-Eastern Hill University (NEHU), Shillong, for her thesis ‘Studies on Effects of Gentiana quadrifaria Extract on Hyperglycemia-induced Oxidative Stress, Cellular Damage and Apoptosis in Diabetic Mice,’ which she completed under the supervision of Dr Surya Bhan, Associate Professor, Department of Biochemistry, NEHU. She is the daughter of Sngewlang Rymbai and John Suna, and a resident of Khliehtyrshi village, West Jaintia Hills.
