M’laya finishes 4th at National Kickboxing Championship

SHILLONG, Nov 25: Meghalaya delivered a standout performance at the National Kickboxing Championship 2025, clinching an impressive haul of 45 medals at the event held from November 20 to 23 at the Bhiku Pathare Indoor Stadium in Pune, Maharashtra.
Representing the Meghalaya Association of Kickboxing Organisation (MAKO), the 12-member squad — comprising seven male and five female athletes — secured 31 gold, 7 silver and 7 bronze medals, earning the state an overall 4th-place national ranking among 20 participating states.
Among the medal winners were Lorenza Songthiang, Riwodmiki Lyngdoh, Chemi Nongpluh, Sany Khyriemmujat, Jyntialin Warbah, Espiranza S. Songthiang, Wanbhaki Suchiang, Joesaiah Hynniewta, Kyrshanbor R. Songthiang, Deilang Ryngkhlem, Nokris Dkhar and Francis R R Songthiang — whose consistent performances contributed significantly to Meghalaya’s tally.
