SHILLONG, Dec 8: Saitsohpen, the sleepy undulating locality of Sohra, came alive on Saturday last as it received an outdoor gym, gifted jointly by the Rotary Club of Shillong and Polo Orchid at a cost of Rs 5 lakh.
The colourful gym equipment, numbering nine pieces in all, is a value addition for the local population.
An enthusiastic village elders, women and children were present to witness the formal inauguration done by Rotary District Governor Dr KS Elangbam.
Elaka Sirdar D. Kynta, Rotary president Chandana Das and MD Polo Resort Kishan Tibrewala spoke on the occasion.
