SHILLONG, Dec 8: The Seng Kur Warjri will hold its 27th General Council Meeting at Seijiong village in New Shillong Township on December 12, during which issues concerning the clan’s challenges and future prospects will be discussed.
Speaking to reporters, Seng Kur Warjri vice president Raphael Warjri said the Seijiong unit, comprising young and energetic members, will host this year’s gathering.
He expressed confidence that the council will be productive and meaningful for all attendees. Warjri said the event will feature cultural and musical programmes, along with a felicitation ceremony honouring clan members who have excelled in various fields.
“A general discussion will be held on all matters related to the problems faced by the clan and the future prospects within the state,” he stated.
He added that the Seng Kur Warjri also stands in solidarity with its members residing outside Meghalaya, elsewhere in India, and abroad.
