Govt notifies creation of two outposts in GH

SHILLONG, Dec 10: The state government has notified the creation of two new police outposts to strengthen administrative reach in the Garo Hills region.
In a notification issued through the Home (Police) Department on Wednesday, the administration announced the establishment of Zikzak Police Outpost in South West Garo Hills and Raksamgre Police Outpost in West Garo Hills.
According to the notification, the jurisdiction for the new Zikzak Police Outpost is bounded by Ampati Police Station in the north and Mahendraganj Police Station in the west. To the east, it shares a border with Salmanpara Police Station, while the Purakhasia Outpost lies to the south.
Similarly, the state government also informed the area of control for the Raksamgre Police Outpost in West Garo Hills.
“The boundaries of Raksamgre Police Outpost are Tikrikilla Police Station and Pedaldoba Outpost in the North, Pedaldoba Outpost (West Garo Hills) and Bajengdoba Police Station (North Garo Hills) in the East, Damal Asim Police Station and Tikrikilla Police Station in the South and Tikrikilla Police Station in the West,” the notification said.
