TURA, Dec 22: The 4th Koch Youth Festival 2025 was recently organised by the Meghalaya Koch Students’ Union (MKSU) at Kuligaon in South West Garo Hills district under the theme ‘Strengthening Our Roots, Our Rhythm and Our Future’.
The two-day festival, which brought together students, youths, community leaders, cultural practitioners and dignitaries to deliberate on Koch identity, language, culture and developmental concerns, was attended by Mahandraganj MLA Sanjay A Sangma as the chief guest and Betasing MDC Sanjay Koch as the guest of honour.
On the occasion, a memorandum was submitted to the MLA demanding minor irrigation facilities at Kuligaon, the repair of damaged PWD roads and a grant-in-aid with land for an office-cum-library for the MKSU in Tura, as well as for the Patijora Zonal Committee of the MKA.
