MSPCB sets up teams to monitor pollution

SHILLONG, Jan 3: At a time when pollution in Byrnihat continues to be a concern for everyone, the Meghalaya State Pollution Control Board has intensified its activities to ensure that industrial units operate within the stipulated norms.
Sources said that MSPCB has constituted technical and scientific teams to monitor and inspect all the industrial units at regular intervals.
This is being done to ensure the operation of the units are within the stipulated norms as indicated in the Consent to Operate order as well as instructions issued from time to time.
