Meghalaya shooters shine at nat’l c’ship

Shillong, Jan 9: The Shooting Association of Meghalaya (SAM) proudly announced the impressive performances of its shooters at the recently concluded 68th National Shooting Championship Competitions (NSCC), held from December 11, 2025, to January 4, 2026, across New Delhi and Bhopal.
The championship saw a massive turnout of 17,530 participants across Rifle, Pistol, and Shotgun events, with 7,061 competing in Rifle, 9,381 in Pistol, and 1,088 in Shotgun. Meghalaya fielded a strong and well-balanced contingent, combining experience and emerging talent while ensuring notable gender representation.In the Rifle category, 13 shooters represented the state, with 7 men and 6 women. Among them, 9 shooters earned the prestigious “Renowned Shot” recognition from the National Rifle Association of India (NRAI).
