SHILLONG, Jan 15: An Online Pension Application Module aimed at digitising Meghalaya’s pension process was launched by the Office of the Principal Accountant General (A&E), Meghalaya, on Thursday.
The new module is integrated with the existing e-Pension portal.
It was inaugurated by Principal Accountant General L Hangsing in the presence of Finance (Pension) Secretary Swapnil Tembe.
Speaking on the occasion, Hangsing stated that the initiative marks a significant step toward end-to-end digitisation, aimed at enhancing transparency, reducing paperwork, and minimising processing delays.
The platform enables state government employees, All India Service (AIS) officers, and family members of deceased employees to submit pension applications through a secure digital interface. Key features include online form submission, digital document uploads, and real-time tracking of application status.
Swapnil Tembe welcomed the initiative and assured the state government’s full support for its implementation and usage.
