Kharkutta resident goes missing while en-route to Bengaluru, family seeks help

Kharkutta, Jan 27: A resident of Kharkutta in North Garo Hills, Moinal Momin, apparently went missing while he was on his way to the city of Bengaluru for work related purposes on Jan 24 with his family seeking information on his whereabouts.

Momin had apparently boarded a train to the capital of Karnataka along with a few friends for purposes related to work but apparently went missing when the train stopped at Balugaon Railway Station in Odisha. He last spoke to his family at about 9 AM on Jan 24 following which his whereabouts are unknown.

A missing case into the matter has been filed by the family members and despite more than 5 days passing, no information has come about on where exactly he is.

Meanwhile speaking on the case, the superintendent of police, NGH, Swapnil Pawar stated that the family was spoken to on the matter and all efforts are being taken up to find the missing person.

“We have notified all police stations along the route as well as the local Balugaon PS. Further the Government Railway Police (GRP) has also been notified. We are tracking the missing person and are hopeful of finding him. There is no evidence of any foul play yet but our investigation into the matter is currently ongoing,” informed Swapnil.
