Badshah to participate in Ruffles NBA All-Star Celebrity Game
Rapper Badshah, known for tracks such as Jugnu, Kar Gayi Chull and Garmi, is set to take part in the 2026 Ruffles NBA All-Star Celebrity Game in Los Angeles. His participation also makes him the first-ever Indian rapper to take the court at the 2026 Ruffles NBA All-Star Celebrity Game, which will take place at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, California, on February 13, according to a press release. Marking his debut in the fan-favourite global event, fans can expect Badshah to bring his signature energy both on and off the court, joining a star-studded roster of celebrities from music, film, TV, Disney, Marvel, MLB, NFL and more. The rapper said he is excited to be a part of the event. ‘I’m beyond excited to be part of this incredible event and take Indian hip hop center court during NBA All-Star Weekend. Basketball has always been one of my biggest passions, and playing on the same court as legends from the NBA, NFL, Hollywood and music is truly an honour,’ he said in a statement. (PTI)
After Sacred Games, Saif returns in uniform for Kartavya
After nearly eight years, actor Saif Ali Khan has returned to play a cop, this time for the action-thriller Kartavya. His last major role in uniform was for the popular series Sacred Games. The first look for the upcoming thriller was shared Tuesday at the Next on Netflix India event, where the platform shared details about its 2026 line-up. This also marks another step in Saif Ali Khan’s OTT journey, following acclaimed performances in Sacred Games, Tandav, and the film Vikram Vedha. The film is produced by Red Chillies Entertainment and directed by Pulkit. The film is set in the heartland of India and explores how law, family, truth, and duty intersect in complex ways. Apart from Saif, the film also stars Rasika Duggal, Sanjay Mishra, Saurabh Dwivedi, Zakir Hussain, and Manish Chaudhari in key roles. The release date has not been announced yet. (ANI)
Madhur Bhandarkar wraps shooting for The Wives
National Award-winning filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar, known for films such as Chandni Bar, Page 3, Fashion, Heroine, Traffic Signal and Babli Bouncer, has officially wrapped the shoot of his upcoming film The Wives. The film features Sonali Kulkarni, Mouni Roy, Regina Cassandra, Rahul Bhatt, Saurabh Sachdeva, Arjan Bajwa and Freddy Daruvala. It is produced by Bhandarkar Entertainment and PJ Motion Pictures. Bhandarkar said the story of the film “looks beyond the spotlight and into the personal lives that are often overshadowed by fame.” “It explores relationships, ambition, insecurity and emotional survival in a world driven by image and success. I wanted to tell this story with honesty and sensitivity, and I’m grateful to my cast and crew for bringing so much authenticity to the screen,” he said in a statement. (PTI)
Dacoit to release in April
The makers of Dacoit, featuring Adivi Sesh, have postponed the release of the film to April 10. Also featuring Mrunal Thakur in the lead role, the film is directed by first-time filmmaker Shaneil Deo, who has co-written the screenplay with Sesh. It was previously slated to release on March 19, according to a press release. The film follows the story of an angry convict seeking vengeance on his ex-girlfriend who betrayed him. It will release in Hindi and Telugu languages. Besides Dacoit, Sesh will feature in Goodachari 2 alongside Wamiqa Gabbi and Emraan Hashmi. (PTI)
