Mizoram man enters Ward’s Lake with ganja, held

SHILLONG, Feb 5: Security personnel deployed at Ward’s Lake on Thursday apprehended a 25-year-old man after allegedly recovering a bag containing ganja from his possession while he was attempting to enter the premises. The accused has been identified as Henjakapa, a resident of Kolasib district, Mizoram.
Following the incident, the guards and staff at Ward’s Lake informed the police, who arrived at the spot and took custody of the accused. Legal proceedings were initiated thereafter. Police said the seized ganja weighed approximately 2.479 kg.
