Man found dead near Lumdiengjri

SHILLONG, Feb 9: An unidentified man, between 40 and 45 years of age, was found lying unconscious near the State Bank of India (SBI), Lumdiengjri, on February 1. He was immediately shifted to Civil Hospital, Shillong, where the attending medical officer declared him brought dead.
Police conducted an inquest and completed all necessary formalities. Following the post-mortem examination, the body has been kept at the Civil Hospital morgue for identification and claim.
According to police, the deceased was approximately 5.4 feet tall, of swarthy complexion, slim build, with a thin moustache and beard. He was wearing beige pants, grey socks, and two jackets—one camouflage and one dark brown. The police have appealed to relatives or acquaintances of any missing person matching the description to come forward to identify the deceased at the Civil Hospital morgue.
