TURA, Feb 15: An employee of Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA) has raised the issue of the prolonged delay in salary disbursement faced by them all across the state.
“It is a matter of concern that ATMA staff have not received their salaries since November, despite continuing to discharge their official duties sincerely. The issue reportedly affects employees across various districts of Meghalaya, leading to financial hardship and growing uncertainty,” the concerned employee.
As per the employee, many staff members depend entirely on their monthly salaries to manage essential household expenses, loan repayments, children’s education, and medical needs and the prolonged delay has adversely affected morale and caused considerable mental stress among them.
The employee added that despite repeated representations made to the concerned authorities for early resolution of the matter, no concrete outcome has been achieved so far which could impact the effective delivery of agricultural programmes in the state.
