SHILLONG, March 10: The Central Election Committee of the United Democratic Party (UDP) on Tuesday approved the first list of candidates for the upcoming Garo Hills Autonomous District Council (GHADC) elections 2026, scheduled to be held on April 10.
The candidates announced include Sengbath R. Marak from Silkigre constituency, Arman G. Marak from Darugre, Wenison Ch. Marak from Rongrekimgre, Wilseng N. Arengh from Nogorpara and Kremison D. Shira from Babelapara.
UDP general secretary Titosstarwell Chyne informed that the second list of party candidates will be released soon.
