Shillong, March 12: Nayabasti Youth Club registered a convincing 81-run victory over Rangshken ACC in Match No. 37 of the 5th District League T20 Cricket Tournament 2026, organised by the East Khasi Hills Cricket Association.
After winning the toss, Rangshken ACC opted to field first. Batting first, Nayabasti Youth Club posted a competitive total of 160 for 7 in their allotted 20 overs. Rakesh Boro led the charge with a steady knock of 48 off 43 balls, anchoring the innings and guiding his side to a respectable total. For Rangshken ACC, Banshailang was the most effective bowler, claiming three wickets for 25 runs in his four overs.Chasing 161 for victory, Rangshken ACC struggled to build momentum and were bowled out for just 79 in 12.1 overs. Hamostar Sun was the top scorer for the side with a modest 12 off 12 balls, as the batting line-up failed to cope with Nayabasti’s disciplined bowling attack.
Sajib Debnath was the pick of the bowlers for Nayabasti Youth Club, returning impressive figures of three for 22 in his four overs to help dismantle the opposition batting order.Rakesh Boro was named the Player of the Match.
