Young Guns, Lok Bhawan register wins in PA Sangma T20

Shillong, March 12: Young Guns CC and Lok Bhawan CC recorded comfortable victories in their respective matches of the Late P.A. Sangma Memorial T20 Cricket Tournament 2026, organised by the Shillong Cricket Association.
In the first match, United XI CC won the toss and elected to bat but were bowled out for 98 in 17.4 overs. Bharat top-scored with 29 runs off 26 balls, while Bijon Dey contributed 20 from 34 deliveries. Md Wahid produced an outstanding spell with the ball for Young Guns CC, claiming four wickets for just nine runs in his four overs, while Mewankitbok supported well with two wickets for 16 runs.
Chasing a modest target, Young Guns CC reached 99 for four in 13.3 overs. Manthan Dey led the batting with 31 off 24 balls, while Krishiv added 25 from 22 deliveries. Rajib Rai took two wickets for United XI CC, but it was not enough to prevent Young Guns from sealing a six-wicket win. Md Wahid was named Player of the Match for his impressive bowling performance.
In another match, Shillong Sixers opted to bat first after winning the toss but were dismissed for 78 in 14.5 overs. Sandeep Roy was the top scorer with 33 runs off 31 balls. Andrew Ropmay and Bikash Singha were the standout bowlers for Lok Bhawan CC, taking two wickets each.
Lok Bhawan CC chased down the target comfortably, reaching 79 for two in just 8.5 overs. Ropmay was adjudged Player of the Match for his all-round contribution.
