Meeting
The Sanatan Dharmasabha Harisabha (Laban), Shillong, held its general body meeting on Sunday, where a new executive committee was formed and audited financial reports for the years 2023-24 and 2024-25 were approved. Following the dissolution of the previous body, Sanjoy Das was elected as the new president. Other office-bearers include Debobrata Bhattacharjee (vice president), Debasish Chakraborty (secretary), and Mintu Das and Debasish Dey (joint secretaries). Sudip Purkayastha was appointed as the auditor. The meeting also included a condolence session for former vice president, late Prashanta Choudhury, who passed away on March 10, as well as late Shefali Dutta and late Prity Das. Members observed a two-minute silence as a mark of respect.
