TURA, Mar 19: The Office of the Deputy Commissioner (Supply), West Garo Hills, Tura, has informed that there is currently no reported shortage of LPG supply in the Tura Sadar Division, as per inputs received from the Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL).
However, as a precautionary measure to ensure uninterrupted supply of LPG to consumers, a District LPG Supply Monitoring Committee has been constituted under the chairmanship of the Deputy Commissioner, with members from various line departments. While domestic LPG supply is being adequately maintained, commercial LPG supply is presently being prioritised for essential sectors such as Health and Education.
In this regard, consumers have been requested to avoid panic bookings and instead use digital modes for LPG booking. They may also give a missed call to 8454955555 / 8927225667 or use IVRS at 8391990070.
As per the notification, new LPG cylinder booking/invoicing is permitted only after 25 days from the last delivery with PMUY eKYC being made mandatory with effect from March 11, 2026.
“Consumers may complete their eKYC online at: https://www.pmuy.gov.in/ekyc.html. LPG cylinders will not be issued without a valid DAC number,” the notification added, while requesting the public to cooperate with the authorities and follow the guidelines to ensure smooth and uninterrupted LPG distribution across the district.
