WJDWA conducts wrestling trials in preparation for upcoming National Games

JOWAI, March 25: The West Jaintia District Wrestling Association (WJDWA) conducted a selection trial for wrestlers across various weight categories on Wednesday. The trials included both male and female participants and were held as part of preparations for the National Games to be hosted in Meghalaya in 2027.
The selection trials took place at Seiñraij Community Hall, Jowai, in the presence of the Working President of WJDWA, Heipor Pariat. The judges for the event included Damang Kupar Rymbai and Deogratia Kharsahnoh, while Echwamidao Phawa served as the referee, along with others.
A large number of aspiring wrestlers from different localities of Jowai town as well as from various villages of West Jaintia participated in the selection trials.
