MY Bharat Meghalaya, under the Department of Youth Affairs, will host the state-level edition of the Viksit Bharat Youth Parliament Festival (VBYPF) 2026 at the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly Annexe Hall, Rilbong. According to a statement here, the event is being organised in collaboration with the Directorate of Sports & Youth Affairs and the NSS State Nodal Office, with support from the State Assembly Secretariat. The competition will feature the top five winners from eight district-level Youth Parliament contests held recently across Meghalaya. The top three performers from this state round will represent Meghalaya at the National Youth Parliament, scheduled for next month at the Parliament of India in New Delhi.
The Meghalaya Basin Management Agency (MBMA) will host a programme titled ‘Our Magnificent Meghalaya – Celebrating 8 Years of MDA’ from 12 pm onwards at Polo 2nd Ground, Shillong. The programme will be attended by Chief Minister Conrad Sangma as the chief guest, along with cabinet ministers, MLAs, et al.
