Asif Khan stars as Lok Bhawan cruise to 10-wicket victory

Shillong, March 28: A blistering unbeaten half-century by Asif Khan powered Lok Bhawan to a dominant 10-wicket victory over Sputnik Spartan in the Late P.A. Sangma Memorial T20 Cricket Tournament 2026, organised by the Shillong Cricket Association.
Opting to field after winning the toss, Lok Bhawan bowlers produced a disciplined effort to restrict Sputnik Spartan to 95 for five in their allotted nine overs.
Bappan Dutta led the charge with a quickfire 40 off 18 balls, while Kishlay Vishlux added a brisk 33 from just 12 deliveries.For Lok Bhawan, Bikash Singha and Suraj Chettri chipped in with a wicket each, conceding 13 and 16 runs respectively in their two-over spells.In reply, Lok Bhawan made light work of the chase, racing to 97 without loss in just 5.3 overs. Asif Khan remained unbeaten on 56 off 22 balls, anchoring the innings with authority, while Krishna Chettri provided solid support with an unbeaten 35 off 13 deliveries.Sputnik Spartan failed to make any breakthroughs with the ball, with Uttam Chanda conceding 13 runs in his lone over.Asif Khan was adjudged Player of the Match for his match-winning knock.
