SHILLONG, March 31: The Voice of the People Party (VPP) on Tuesday officially confirmed Batskhem Myrboh as the party candidate for the by-election to the Shillong Parliamentary seat.
The announcement came after Myrboh’s candidature was approved by the party’s state executive committee.
Party spokesperson Londoner Murphy Sohtun said that the decision was taken during a recent executive meeting of the party, following a recommendation by the state election committee.
According to the party, Myrboh’s selection was based on his commitment to the party’s values and principles, along with his public service, leadership qualities, and dedication to the welfare of the people.
The VPP has called on party members, supporters, and well-wishers to extend their support and cooperation to ensure a favourable outcome in the upcoming by-election.
