Pahamsyiem village headman re-elected for 2026-29 term

NONGPOH, April 4: Jedwin Lyngdoh was re-elected as the headman of Pahamsyiem village for the 2026-2029 term following a poll that saw nearly a thousand residents casting their votes on Saturday.
The election was conducted under the supervision of the Acting Sirdar of Elaka Nongpoh, Luistar Lyngdoh, and Raid Nongpoh Lyngdoh, Linus Lyngdoh, along with the village election committee.
Elected office-bearers include Wanphrang Sumer as assistant headman, Alford Syiem as secretary, and Shanbok Syngkli as assistant secretary.
Acting Sirdar Luistar Lyngdoh called on unsuccessful candidates and the public to cooperate with the new executive for the larger interest of the village.
