SHILLONG, April 11: The Dorbar Shnong Golflink on Friday thanked East Khasi Hills Deputy Commissioner Rosetta M. Kurbah for her intervention in resolving a long-standing dispute with the Shillong Club management.
The stand-off concerned public access to the golf course and the use of the RV Lyngdoh Ground (Madan Saw) for recreational activities.
Golflink Rangbah Shnong Michael Hek stated that the issue, which had remained unresolved for several years, was settled amicably due to the DC’s leadership.
He noted that her actions reflect the responsiveness and efficiency of the district administration.
Hek added that local residents are relieved to regain access to the golf course and recreational grounds, restoring a practice that had been in place for years.
