SHILLONG, April 18: The BJP East Khasi Hills district held a mass joining programme at Nongdawah, Mawryngkneng, where hundreds of leaders and members from various political parties and organisations officially joined the party.
During the event, EKH district party president Priambada Blah felicitated the newly elected mandal president, Rimanbha Mukhim.
Addressing the gathering, Blah said the growing support in Mawryngkneng reflects the BJP’s increasing acceptance in rural areas, traditionally seen as outside its urban strongholds.
She noted that several prominent individuals have expressed interest in contesting from the constituency, indicating rising confidence in the party’s vision.
Crediting the sustained efforts of senior leaders and grassroots workers for strengthening the BJP’s base, Blah highlighted their dedication to reaching even the most remote areas to connect with workers.
