M’laya Police inks MoU with Assam varsity for welfare of personnel, kin

SHILLONG, April 18: The Meghalaya Police on Friday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Assam Royal Global University to provide educational opportunities and welfare support for its personnel and their families.
The agreement was signed by Meghalaya Director General of Police Idashisha Nongrang and the university’s Registrar Academics, DN Singh.
The partnership aims to expand access to higher education for police personnel and their dependents while strengthening welfare initiatives within the department.
Officials said the collaboration will focus on capacity building and the overall development of the police community through dedicated academic support and institutional cooperation.
