Singer D4vd (David Burke) has pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder and related charges in the death of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez, whose dismembered and decomposed body was found in an abandoned Tesla registered to him.
He is also charged with lewd acts with a minor and mutilating a body. Prosecutors allege he killed her in April 2025 after a prolonged sexual relationship and that she threatened to expose him. The case includes special circumstances that could carry the death penalty, though no decision has been made.
Burke appeared in court and was ordered held without bail. The defense denies the allegations and is seeking a public evidentiary hearing as the investigation continues. (AP)
