Jaafar Jackson, who plays the late King of Pop in the biopic Michael, has shared a personal highlight from the film’s set—holding his uncle Michael Jackson’s real Grammy Award during the recreation of a scene.
He described the experience as “truly special,” calling it one of his favorite moments while filming and posting a picture of himself with the award.
Michael Jackson, one of the most awarded artists in music history, won 13 Grammy Awards along with numerous other honours, including American Music Awards, MTV Video Music Awards, and Brit Awards.
The biopic chronicles his life from his early days with the Jackson 5 to his rise as a global solo superstar.
Directed by Antoine Fuqua, Michael features an ensemble cast including Colman Domingo as Joe Jackson, Nia Long as Katherine Jackson, and Kat Graham as Diana Ross.
