SHILLONG, May 1: The office of the Deputy Commissioner, East Khasi Hills district, has issued an advisory for candidates appearing in the NEET (UG) 2026 examination on May 3, cautioning them about possible traffic congestion in parts of the city.
According to the notice, candidates assigned to the Meghalaya Police Public School have been informed that a large Presbyterian congregation is scheduled to be held at the JLN Stadium on the same day, which could lead to heavy traffic in the surrounding areas.
The district administration has advised candidates to leave their respective locations well in advance and reach their examination centres early to avoid delays caused by traffic disruption.
Candidates have also been asked to make necessary travel arrangements beforehand and strictly adhere to the reporting time mentioned on their admit cards.
The advisory has been issued in the interest of ensuring smooth conduct of the examination and to minimise inconvenience for candidates.
