Veteran actress and BJP MP Hema Malini expressed happiness over the party’s strong performance in the West Bengal Assembly elections, crediting Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister
Amit Shah for the result. She said their planning and hard work led to a “historic” and “landslide” victory for the BJP, calling it a moment of pride and a win for democracy driven by public awareness. She also said she was proud to have taken part in the campaign.
Television actress Rupali Ganguly also reacted, praising security forces for ensuring peaceful voting during the two-phase election across 294 constituencies. (IANS)
