Change of guard in KSU

SHILLONG, May 10: In a change of guard, Raymond P. Kharjana and Reuben A. Najiar were elected president and general secretary of the influential Khasi Students’ Union (KSU) on Saturday.
Pynkmenlang Sanmiet was elected vice president. All three were elected uncontested.
The new Central Executive Council (CEC) for the 2026-29 term takes over from Lambokstarwell Marngar and Donald V. Thabah.
Election was held at Dinam Hall with polling conducted from 7 am to 3 pm under the supervision of election committee president Danny Khyriem and general secretary Samuel Jyrwa.
Elections were also held for several other key posts.
