SHILLONG, May 21: Martin Luther Christian University organised a ‘Peace Awareness Walk’ on Thursday to mark World No Tobacco Day and spread awareness on the harmful effects of tobacco use.
Vice Chancellor Dr Ashish A Mao flagged off the rally from the university’s Nongrah campus. Around 500 students and staff participated in the walk covering Lapalang, Rynjah Police Point, Nongrim Pump and Pohkseh before returning to the campus.
