SHILLONG, June 1: Former Ri-Bhoi DC Abhilash Baranwal took charge as the new DC of East Khasi Hills District on Monday. He is replacing Rosetta Mary Kurbah who has been transferred as Commissioner and Secretary, Home (Police) and Tourism.
On his first day, the DC held a meeting with Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong.
It may be mentioned that Abhishek Saini has been named the new DC of Ri-Bhoi in a bureaucratic reshuffle announced last month.
