Advocate General concludes argument in Sonam bail case

SHILLONG, June 1: The state represented by Advocate General Amit Kumar on Monday concluded his argument in criminal petition pertaining to bail order of Sonam Raghuvanshi.
The next hearing will take place on June 3 and the respondent lawyers will make their argument before the single bench court of Justice Wanlura Diengdoh.
State petitioner has submitted filed the application before the High Court of Meghalaya being aggrieved by the impugned order dated 27.04.2026 passed by the Court of the Sessions Judge, East Khasi Hills District, Shillong in Bail Application No. 93 (T) 2026 connected to Sessions Case No. 41 (T) 2025, wherein vide such order, the respondent (Sonam Raghuvanshi) have been directed to be enlarged on bail with certain conditions.
The state wants impugned order to be quashed and set aside besides praying for cancellation of the bail granted to Sonam Raghuvanshi.
