MTA to hold black belt test, referee seminar

Shillong, June 11: The Meghalaya Taekwondo Association (MTA) will organise two major events in Shillong this month as part of its preparations for the 39th National Games 2027, which will be hosted by Meghalaya.
According to a press release issued by MTA General Secretary Jadumani Singh, the association will conduct the 6th Meghalaya Black Belt Promotion Test on June 13 and 14 at 58 GTC, Shillong.Later in the month, the association will organise the 4th Meghalaya National Referee Seminar and Refresher Course on June 27 and 28 at the same venue.The seminar and refresher course will be conducted by A.T. Rajeev of Bengaluru, a distinguished taekwondo official who served as a technical official at both the Tokyo 2020 and Paris 2024 Olympic Games.The MTA stated that the two events form part of its roadmap to strengthen the state’s pool of athletes and technical officials ahead of the National Games in 2027.
