Actor Dishani Chakraborty got engaged with her boyfriend and colorist Myles Mantzaris. Chakraborty, daughter of Bollywood stars Mithun Chakraborty and Yogeeta Bali, shared a series of pictures from the proposal on her Instagram handle on Monday. The wedding is set to be held on December 6. “06.12.2026. The easiest forever I’ve ever known,” read the caption. The post featured Chakraborty in a white corset dress as she flaunted her engagement ring. Mantzaris opted for a dark coloured button t-shirt and greyish trousers. It also had pictures of Mantzaris on his knee as he proposed the actor. Mantzaris re-shared the post on his handle. Chakraborty has acted in several short films, including The Guest, Two Faced and Fruit Bowl, among others. She has also worked as a writer and producer on several projects. (PTI)
Oliver Tree documented Brazil trip before his death
Singer-songwriter Oliver Tree documented his first trip to Brazil on social media just days before he was killed in a helicopter crash that claimed six lives. The 32-year-old musician had been touring the country and shared videos and photos from Rio de Janeiro, expressing excitement about experiencing Brazilian culture. In a joint Instagram post with influencer Iae Break, Tree showcased activities such as getting a haircut, riding a motorcycle, grilling meat and jokingly calling himself “Neymar” while holding a replica FIFA World Cup trophy. Following the crash, Iae Break paid tribute to the singer online. Tree, who had more than two million Instagram followers, was touring after releasing his latest album, Love You Madly Hate You Badly, in April. He was among six people killed when two helicopters collided on Sunday. Other victims included Argentine YouTuber Gaspar Prim and four others. (ANI)
Shania Twain reveals past struggles to stay slim
Singer-songwriter Shania Twain has revealed that she once resorted to “very unhealthy” measures to stay slim, leading to malnourishment and worsening an onstage injury. The 60-year-old star said she struggled with body image during her Las Vegas residency in 2019 and even avoided looking at herself in the mirror as her body changed with age. Twain admitted she was overworking her body while not eating enough in an effort to lose weight. However, she said her outlook has transformed over time, largely due to menopause. The country music icon explained that menopause helped her accept that some physical changes are beyond her control. Now, she embraces her appearance and no longer feels pressured to meet unrealistic body standards, describing her current relationship with her body as much healthier and more positive. (IANS)
Court defers Vijay-Sangeetha divorce proceedings
The divorce case involving Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay and his wife Sangeetha Vijay was adjourned once again by the Chengalpattu Family Court on Monday after neither party appeared for the hearing. Their lawyers represented them before the court, which postponed the matter to August 7. Sangeetha had filed the divorce petition in December 2025, citing irreconcilable differences and seeking alimony as well as the right to continue residing in their Chennai home. The high-profile case has witnessed several adjournments and continues to attract significant public and political attention. (IANS)
