Govt identifying hawkers along GS Road and Motphran

SHILLONG, July 8: The state government is identifying hawkers operating along GS Road and in Motphran to facilitate their relocation, Deputy Chief Minister in charge of Urban Affairs, Sniawbhalang Dhar, said on Wednesday.
“We are almost finished identifying them so that we can determine which sites to allocate to them,” Dhar said.
Regarding the relocation of vendors in Laitumkhrah, the Minister stated that the final number of hawkers would be confirmed within the next few weeks.
