Merger
The Meghalaya Small Savings Agents Association has officially merged with the National Small Savings Agents Association – INDIA. The decision was announced during a meeting held at the Youth Hostel in Shillong. A new executive committee was constituted to lead the association following the merger. Shibu Das has been appointed as president, while Peter Wankupar Dkhar and Ashok Kr. Chourasia will serve as vice presidents. Other office-bearers include Matty Skhembill as general secretary, Suparna B. Das and Arvind Kumar Singh as joint secretaries, and Brajendra Kr. Upadhaya and Ganesh Kr. Rai as treasurers.

Campaign
The Office of the District Medical and Health Officer (DMHO), East Khasi Hills, will observe World Population Day 2026 with a programme at the Indoor Hall, Nongmadan, Smit village, on Monday. The campaign is scheduled to begin at 10 am.
