JOWAI, July 25: The Hynniewtrep National Youth Front (HNYF), East Jaintia Zone, led by its president Satly Ryngkhlem, recently provided humanitarian assistance to two economically disadvantaged families in Wapung Shnong, East Jaintia Hills.
The initiative targeted households struggling with severe physical disabilities.
One family includes a son who suffered a debilitating leg injury in a road accident during his youth, leaving him unable to walk or work independently.
The second family, on the other hand, has a member who lost his sight later in life and is now completely blind and confined to his home.
Moved by their plight, the HNYF unit extended support within its limited resources. While the organisation chose to keep the identities of the beneficiaries confidential, Ryngkhlem encouraged them to remain hopeful despite their challenges.
