SHILLONG: Ramkrishna Mission, Shillong will observe Swami Vivekananda’s 153rd Birthday as Youth Festival. On the occasion, various events will be organized in the city under the aegis of the Mission. The two-day Youth Festival will begin on Saturday in the Dorbar Shnongs of Laban, Mawlai, Nongmynsong and Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama campus at Laitumkhrah under the guidance of Rangbah Shnong or Rangbah Dong of the respective areas.
The programmes include, power point presentation, quiz etc. The programme will begin at 10 am in Laitumkhrah, at 2 pm at Mawlai, 4 pm at Nongmynsong and Laban.On this occasion a marathon will also be organized at Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Cultural Centre, Quinton Road at 8:00 am which is to be flagged off by Sanjay Goyel, D.C. East Khasi Hills followed by a cleaning drive and a blood donation camp.
The Birthday of Swami Vivekananda will be celebrated at Mission’s Quinton Road campus on January 12. The programme will begin at 10:30 am with floral tribute to Swami Vivekananda.
