A TATA Winger heading towards Williamnagar from Krishnai in Assam, hit the railing while crossing a bridge at Thapa Darenchi under Resubelpara Block, North Garo Hills on January 27 around 6:30 am. One passenger Anwar Hussain (27, M) sustained injuries and was shifted to Resubelpara CHC.
Pynshngainlang Basawiamoit (9, M) sustained injuries when the Maruti car he was travelling in hit a wall on the side of the road at Nongmynsong, Shillong on January 26 around 10 pm. He was shifted to NEIGRIHMS, Shillong.
A female pedestrian in her thirties sustained injuries after she was hit by a motorbike while walking on the side of the road at Demsieniong, Shillong on January 26 around 4 pm. The injured lady was shifted to Shillong Civil Hospital.
A Maruti car (MLO5L – 0460) overturned while it was in the process of avoiding a head-on collision with another car coming from the opposite direction near the Toyota Showroom at Mawiong, Shillong, on January 26 at 3:30 pm. Bingphen Skhemiew (22, M) was shifted to Shillong Civil Hospital.
A driver of a Maruti car Darli Marngar (45, M) sustained injuries when the vehicle skidded off the road and fell into a gorge at Nongkasen under Mawthadraishan Block, West Khasi Hills on January 26 at 2:15 pm. He was shifted to Markasa PHC.
A driver along with two co-passenger, sustained injuries when the Maruti car hit a truck from behind at 12th Mile under Umling Block, Ri Bhoi District on January 25 around 10:45 pm. Banjop K. Mawphlang (30, M), Lung Kshiar (20, M) and Mika Wan (22, M) were shifted to Guwahati Medical College, Guwahati. A Maruti Swift Dzire (ML10A – 9475) travelling towards Shillong from Jowai overturned after it skidded on reaching Umphyrnai under Mawryngkneng Block, East Khasi Hills on January 25 around 4:45 pm. The injured Lalfakpuii (35, F) and Lalruatfela (12, M) were shifted to Woodland Hospital, Shillong.
Isul Haq (22, M) sustained injuries after he fell off from his motorbike when it skidded at 15th Mile under Umling Block, Ri Bhoi District on January 25 around 2:45 pm. He was shifted to GNRC, Guwahati.
In all the above cases the 108 Emergency Service Ambulance helped in transportation of the injured persons to the nearest health centres or hospitals.
