Vallery Kharmawlong (L)  from Mairang won the first Voice Hunt title during the grand finale of the event in Nongstoin on Friday. 11-year-old Kitkupar Nongsiej (C) from Kynshi ended as the first runner-up while Baphila Pynsngewbha L.Mawnai from Mawnai, Mairang won the third prize in the event organised by the A=Apple Society in collaboration with the District Arts & Culture Society. By virtue of the win, Kharmawlong has become the brand ambassador for Clean & Green, West Khasi Hills, besides bagging a contract to record an album and take home a cash prize of Rs 40,000. (ST)

On the occasion of 120 birth anniversary of Yujacharjya Sreemat Swami Pranabanandaji Maharaj (Maghi Purnima 2015), the Shillong centre of Bharat Sevashram Sangha distributed food packets to the patients at Pediatrics, Maternity & Oncology Wards of Ganesh Das Hospital & NEIGRIHMS.
