Due to their superb records in international cricket, both were recognised as Officers of the New Zealand Order of Merit.
Stephen Fleming lead New Zealand in 80 Tests and in 218 one-day internationals.
Daniel Vettori is one of the finest spinners produced by New Zealand with 345 Test wickets and 282 scalps in one-dayers.
