Fraud

One person lodged a complaint at Khliehriat PS that one Mayukh Talukdar of Basistha Krishnapur, Assam cheated him of Rs. 21 lakh in a coal deal.
House set on fire
Brikboy Nongbak lodged a complaint (February  4) at Nongstoin PS that on November 30, 2014 at about 4 am, unknown miscreants set fire to his house at Langumshing (WKH). As a result, household properties were burnt.

One dead

On February 1 at about 6 am, one Maruti car (ML-04B-5953) driven by K. Rymbai dashed against one oil tanker (AS-01X-0079) at Lad Khliehriat (EJH). As a result, one occupant of the car Las Phawa died on the spot, while six others sustained injuries.

Theft

Saljrang Sangma lodged a complaint at Tura PS that on the night of January 31, unknown miscreants stole 24 window panels valued around Rs. 2 lakh from his under construction house at Rongkhon Songgital (WGH).
Arbinda Basumatary lodged a complaint at Tura PS that on January  30, it was found that unknown miscreants have stolen FTBS batteries, power cables and earthing cables valued around Rs. 5,07,509/- belonging to BSNL from Rongkhon (WGH).
Poonam Mishra lodged a complaint at Laban PS that on January 29, she found that during her absence unknown miscreants broke into her house at Upper Kench’s Trace, Shillong and stole jewelry, documents and other valuables.

Stalking

One lady lodged a complaint at Laitumkhrah PS that on January 14 afternoon, one Alfred Leander Lyngdoh stalked her and also harassed over phone at Laitumkhrah, Shillong.
