A loaded truck (WB65B – 5406) proceeding towards Silchar from Guwahati overturned on a turning on reaching Khliehtyrshi under Thadlaskein Block, West Jaintia Hills District. The owner of the vehicle sustained injuries during the incident which happened on February 12 at 11:59 AM and was shifted to Dr. Norman Tunnel Hospital, Jowai.
A pillion rider, Kalen Marak, died on the spot and the motorist sustained injuries, when the motorbike they were travelling on was involved in a collision with a truck. A motorist sustained injuries after he fell off from his motorbike when it skidded on a turning at Dadenggre under Dadenggre Block, West Garo Hills District. The motorist, Nikngen Sangma (17) was travelling towards Amingokgre when the incident took place on February 11 at 6:10 PM.
A motorist, Albest Thongni (26) died on the spot and the pillion rider sustained injuries in a head-on collision with a truck (ML04C – 0231) coming from the opposite direction near the BDO Office at Mawphlang, East Khasi Hills District. The motorbike (ML06 – 7574) was coming from Mawkyrwat when the collision occurred at 4.30 PM on February 13.

A truck travelling towards Silchar from Guwahati overturned at a turning on reaching Umtyrah under Khliehrait Block, East Jaintia Hills at 4.39 PM on February 12. The 108 Emergency Service Ambulance based in Khliehrait helped in shifting Ritiplang Dhar (19) and Syntarsingh Marboh (26) to Khliehrait CHC and then to Jowai Civil Hospital.
