One-month-old falls into fire

SHILLONG: A one-month-old baby from Domjri village under Dangar outpost in East Khasi Hills had to be rushed to the Shillong Civil Hospital with burn injuries after it fell into fire.
The incident occurred at around 8 PM on Monday when the baby of one Sonjila N Marak fell into fire t her house.
According to the East Khasi Hills SP, initial investigation indicated that the infant fell into fire during a scuffle between its parents.
Meanwhile, Ri Bhoi Police also recovered the partially burnt body of a newborn from Paitlong village under Umsning outpost on Sunday.
