SHILLONG: A division bench of the High Court of Meghalaya Division Bench on Monday deferred the contempt of court proceeding against KHADC CEM Adelbert Nongrum.
While hearing the case on Monday, the Division Bench comprising Chief Justice Uma Nath Singh and Justice TNK Singh said the next hearing would take place within four weak’s time.
Interestingly, the Chief Justice  was stunned when he saw Nongrum in person in the court.
Justice SR Sen had referred the contempt of court proceedings against the CEM to the Division Bench since the appeal against the ruling of a lower court is lying before the same Division Bench.
