NONGPOH: In this present age, correct and precise information is the keyword for any person or the government for enabling him/her/government take appropriate and correct decision and as presently almost every information is available at a click of a button thus the information provided in various websites need to be updated from time to time as to be able to do justice to the users.
But this is not the case with the official website of Meghalaya (www.meghalaya.nic.in) as there is lack of professionalism on the part of the government in updating the website which serves as a mirror to the people of world.
As per information provided by the state official website, the state High Court is yet to exit and we are  still under Guahati High Court, though the state was blessed with its own high court viz.., the Meghalaya High Court located at the heart of the capital city.
Under the banner “Government” in the official website, it is stated, “Shillong is the capital of Meghalaya and housed the Legislative Assembly and the Secretariat. The Guahati High Court, Shillong Bench is located in Shillong and exercised the jurisdiction and powers in respect of cases arising in the state of Meghalaya”.
